Good value spreader
By Bearderspond
The item is well made, although it did take a little longer than anticipated to assemble.I have tried various other "domestic" grade spreaders. Quite frankly they were a waste of money. For my back lawn (800m2) I needed something capable of doing the job of a professional spreader at a reasonable price.I have now used the spreader twice - it is fast and easy to use.Only criticism is that the linkage connected to the control handle is not that accurate when compared to the settings guide in the instructions. I have found that I needed to open the lever much greater than suggested for the recommended spread rate. Not a huge problem - set the spreader for less product, and just go over the area again to avoid any over application. Well worth the money if you have a larger lawn.I did consider buying the larger model but remember that you have to push it over the grass, although the proper pneumatic tyres make it easier than anticipated. Excellent buy and well recommended.

It wont last long!
By Dr Lawn
I need a spreader this size. I was impressed with this at first as although its a cheap and nasty spreader, and quite difficult to put together (although the instructions were spot on). I would not recommend that you load it more than half full or the choke will stick, I would also keep at least a couple of inches of fertilizer in the bottom to get a more even spread. I find that the red eve-n-spreaders only last a couple of months before the spindle wares a "too big" hole in the bottom of the bucket. All was fine till the gear box just wore out. Pretty sad really, I am still looking for a good quality spreader this size. I suppose if its used as a domestic spreader just for doing your own lawn a couple of times a year and you wash it properly after each session it may last for years. Apart from the other spreader I mentioned earlier I have also been disappointed with the "spyker" tin can type spreaders.

Lawn spreader
By Bill Griffin
Substantial piece of equipment, but not the easiest to assemble. Allow quite a bit of time for this as it is not a "straight out of the box" and ready to use item. Once assembled it works well for larger grained products but not so well for smaller grained ones.
