Ok, but I think I should have got one that was unpadded. The padding makes using it in small cars a problem. My head touched the roof and it was not nice, not as bad as back ache but not good. if you are short, it will not be an issue. I am 5ft, 11in.

I bought this on the recommendation of a friend but was really disappointed. The seat is very thick, much thicker than the pix look and so when put in the car my head hit the ceiling and I looked like Marge Simpson. Even with seats that go up and down electronically and set to the floor, it was still much too high. I bought it for the lumbar support, which is ok but there is not really enough of it and I could get a bolster for much less which would be much easier to move around and less cumbersome. Sent it back to The Terrain Store and have not yet received a refund, they have ignored two emails and the 'file a complaint' link is down. No telephone number either - I get better service on Ebay.

I bought the double padded version for use in car and home, but returned it. I am slim 5' 2", so height was no problem in the car. However, it was very hard and rigid and not adjustable enough to fit my back. I think it is designed for an average to tall man. The seat does not give legs a suitable slope, but just follows the slope of the seat it is placed on, and there is pressure under the thighs. It needs something inbuilt to give a slight downward slope to the legs to put the pelvis in the correct position. The lumbar area felt unsupported. It gave me a more painful back and made sciatica worse in my legs after only 15 minutes driving, so I had to remove it and lie down to recover. It was no better on the sofa as it was so rigid and unforgiving. I went back to using my memory foam cushion and a hot water bottle, cheaper but more effective. I also use a gym ball to sit on at home sometimes and exercise the spine, which is very good.
