I bought this shaving brush for my father as an 84-year birthday present. He uses shaving soap sticks and works up a lather by working the stick with the brush with water added. He is absolutely thrilled with this brush, especially its luxurious softness and fine lather. I thought that it would be bigger when I ordered it, but he has no problem with the size. I also considered the aluminium handle a problem, as it is cold, slippery and rather heavy compared to wood. But again, I am not the one who uses the brush, and he insists that none of these three considerations bother him the slightest. So, all in all a success.
