No more wobbly steps for me!

After years of struggling with a set of £15 wobbly aluminium steps, I finally bit the bullet and invested in a set of youngman's steps. They are infinitely more stable so you feel much more confident that they won't topple over. The treads are nice and deep too so they are nicer to climb and more comfortable when standing on them for any length of time. And if I needed any confirmation that I bought the right thing, my electrician has the same ones!

Fantastic Laptop

Having always had compaq laptops I was concerned about getting an HP even if they are the same technology but I shouldnt have worried. The laptop does everything I could wish it to and more. Having a slightly wider screen means the keyboard has space for a separate number pad. An integrated webcam built in to the laptops case is another example of how well thought out the design of this laptop has been.I have had no problems with it at all, graphics are spot on, speed is excellent and I happily use it for business, internet and leisure. Am very impressed all round.Wireless, DVD burner and player (with lightscribe - so you can actually burn a design on the actual cd), intergrated media reader so you can put photo cards straight in to laptop with no need for cables, integrated web cam, 3 usb ports and a very stylish black gloss finish.

It's a COMPAQ

I've used it for a couple of months now & I'm very pleased with it. I was a bit concerened that it was a COMPAQ & not a HP, but it's the same thing. I can't say I'm an expert on laptops, but it works for me for general home use & internet browsing. I love the numeric keypad for doing the accounts.

nice laptop, good potential,

Just Got this a few days ago, very nice laptop, only complaint is the lack of RAM, but that can be easily upgraded as this laptop takes 5300 or 6400 RAM, which is relatively cheap for a simple upgrade. Works out of the box, just had to delete alot of the junk programmes that come with it (silly kids games etc). The HDMI transferes sound to your tv as well, just thought you should know as i was curious too. Games wise i doubt it will run the latest, but i have Medieval 2: Total War and FM2009 running on it ok (3d match engine is a bit sluggish, but i assume ram upgrade will help fix this), as well as a few older games like AvP2.Overall a good buy, Good laptop, just dont buy it expecting to play crysis and farcry 2 on it.Ok I have an update, I bought an additional 2GB ram module for this and it has helped alot. Football Manager runs alot smoother now, as does browsing whilst playing FM2009. Also as the video card uses RAM for the memory, its seen a significant increase in gamming power, maybe not the latest, but older games pre 2006 should run decently.

I was very excited when i saw the doll arrive and also to see what she would look like in real life. Just pure perfection as to be expected from the silkstone dolls. Even the box was just so nicely presented and really shows the qaulity of the doll your getting. A definate must for anyones collection she is really beautiful. Also nice knowing that you own one that is based on the origional with a slightly modern twist on it. Collectors you will love this one!

No messing around - these are big.

Received quickly from the seller - These seem to be very well made and solid chairs - and they really are big and quite heavy - I have sat on, and broken quite a few camping chairs in my career, whether drunk, clumsy or just far too heavy and I needed something to be able to cope with abuse. I may update this review once the weather permits a little camping trip and I can put it though its paces.

Comfortable but bulky

We were the envy of our friends with our lovely comfortable moon chairs and the only reason I have given them 4 stars and not 5 is because they are quite bulky and heavy. If you are loading the car up with a lot of camping equipment as we did, you may struggle to find the space for these too!

Very good shoes

A brilliant pair of shoes that are both great for running, and very comfortable for general wear.The gore-tex lining is great, works well, and means you can wear the shoes in any conditions. Although the lining does mean that the shoes do get very warm in hot weather.The sole of the shoe is very large, meaning that feet are less likely to get stuck when running in muddy conditions.The sole tread is well-gripping, and is very resistant to wear, even on road.The shoes also seems fine when running on roads.The dark colour means they are less noticeable as running shoes, and so you can wear the comfortable shoes when not exercising!Overall, great shoes. Although they are a little bigger than other Asics shoes, so I strongly recommend trying them on before.

Dovo Bergischer Lowe Razor

I have owned and used one of these razors for several years now, and it is an objet d'art. It is a 5/8 width, full hollow ground blade set in three pin scales, but to my knowledge it is Dovo's ONLY spanish point razor, which means for the experienced user it can get in all the places other razors cannot so easily. In my collection it is second only to my (singing) Prima Klang. For looks, 10 out of 10, the edge wasn't bad out of the box, but these things invariably require a proper honing before use. For an edge, yes, it will come up superbly, but then again any Dovo blade will do that. For show, for a special gift or to treat yourself, buy one of these. If all you want is a good shave, you can spend an awful lot less; you can even buy a singing razor for half this price. Pretty as the Bergischer Lowe is, good as it is, a singing blade it is not.As an aside, buffalo horn scales (handles) range in colour from blonde to near black, as the ones of my own are.

Ok, but I think I should have got one that was unpadded. The padding makes using it in small cars a problem. My head touched the roof and it was not nice, not as bad as back ache but not good. if you are short, it will not be an issue. I am 5ft, 11in.

Very disappointing and very expensive

I bought this on the recommendation of a friend but was really disappointed. The seat is very thick, much thicker than the pix look and so when put in the car my head hit the ceiling and I looked like Marge Simpson. Even with seats that go up and down electronically and set to the floor, it was still much too high. I bought it for the lumbar support, which is ok but there is not really enough of it and I could get a bolster for much less which would be much easier to move around and less cumbersome. Sent it back to The Terrain Store and have not yet received a refund, they have ignored two emails and the 'file a complaint' link is down. No telephone number either - I get better service on Ebay.

I bought the double padded version for use in car and home, but returned it. I am slim 5' 2", so height was no problem in the car. However, it was very hard and rigid and not adjustable enough to fit my back. I think it is designed for an average to tall man. The seat does not give legs a suitable slope, but just follows the slope of the seat it is placed on, and there is pressure under the thighs. It needs something inbuilt to give a slight downward slope to the legs to put the pelvis in the correct position. The lumbar area felt unsupported. It gave me a more painful back and made sciatica worse in my legs after only 15 minutes driving, so I had to remove it and lie down to recover. It was no better on the sofa as it was so rigid and unforgiving. I went back to using my memory foam cushion and a hot water bottle, cheaper but more effective. I also use a gym ball to sit on at home sometimes and exercise the spine, which is very good.
