Three words for this. Fantastic fantastic fantastic! Very easy to assemble and use. Makes up to TWO x 1 litres of ice-cream in less than half an hour. Very useful having two freezer bowls as means you can always keep one in the freezer and make ice-cream on a whim. The smaller machine (ICE30) only has one bowl which means you can only make ice-cream in a 24-hour period as you have to refreeze the bowl for 24 hours before making another one. If you're in two minds about whether to get the ICE30 or ICE40 model I strongly suggest you get ICE40 as you won't regret it! Hubby and I tried my first ever homemade ice-cream with this model using a Ben and Jerry's recipe - French Vanilla - and it tasted divine and creamy. Can't wait to make more!

Fabulous machine. Very easy to assemble, easy to use, easy to clean. Operation is pretty quiet. Makes the most delicious soft ice cream in less than 30 minutes, with just natural ingredients; you know exactly what's in it. The children keep asking for more. The bowls don't take up too much room in the freezer, and having two is great because you can make 2 litres at the same time or make consecutive batches. Worth every penny, and I'm delighted with it.

I hope you read my 100% honest review, and i hope that it is useful to you...I never buy any rubbish, it's just not in my nature.You pay for what you get.Me and my girlfriend wanted to buy an ice cream maker, we really wanted the ICE50BCU (which to be fair, i'm sure will be better and alot easier to use than the ICE40BCU), BUT it is around £200 - nearly three times more.Anyway, we went for the ICE40BCU, as we weren't prepared to shell out that much money for our first purchase of an ice cream maker.I have had ice cream in lots of different countries, and i am a big fan of Ben and Jerrys ice cream and Haagen Dazs ice cream too.I have only used this machine once so far, and i started with the simplest one (vanilla), and then added 95g of maltesers to it five mins from the end...Only the ice cream that i have had in Italy is better than the first batch i made (but i'm talking about a tiny bit better, that's it), and i reckon i can add other things to make my ice cream as good as theirs, it's all about making it with care and love - the same as any task you do.I am truely amazed by how brilliant the ice cream looks and tastes, it's easily in Ben and Jerrys league if not better - and that's coming from someone who has had alot of different flavours from the Ben and Jerrys range - so in my opinion, it seems to be worth every penny.I have seen people moaning about it being too runny when done after 20-25 mins - that isn't true, it's similar to the "Mr Whippy" ice creams that you get from the ice cream man, but maybe a tiny bit stiffer in consistancy.To sum up:-Food that tastes superb usually take time to prepare, and there is nothing better than home-made food that has been made with love and care is there ?For the best results, you should make your mix up (very, very easy and quick), and store it in the fridge over night.The two mixing bowls (freezer bowls), can be kept in the freezer permanently which is handy, as they are always waiting for you to use..The machine has an excellent build quality, and NO, it isn't too noisy either.Trust me when i tell you this, this machine makes truely superb, quality, class ice cream.If you don't mind doing a bit of prepping and being organised (and you want to save yourself over £130) - then buy this machine as we did.If you want the better one, with very little hassle, then it is going to cost you around £200 i'm afraid.I very highly recommend this ice cream maker, it's simple, built like a truck (with a 5 year guarantee), and it really does do the job superbly well.Please let me tell you, i can't emphasise enough just how good the ice cream tastes, and how good the consistancy is too - but my top tip above everything (and i know it's soooo boring) - thoroughly read the instructions before you start, they are very short, very clear, and extremely useful - hence why my first batch tasted so damn good, as i read them about 4 times !Vanilla ice cream with 95g of Terrys Twilights added 5mins from the end of churning has to be a winner in my opinion...THANKS FOR READING MY REVIEW...
