I use these in a raid as my scratch disk for video. Never had a moment's trouble in a year or so.

Have bought about 6 x 500BG Seagate disks over the last couple of years. This is the first I have had trouble with. After about 3 months had problems booting - ran the Seagate disk utility (from CD boot disk) and it fixed bad clusters. Now seems to be okay (2 months after problem).
