After a lengthy search for a gore-tex shell for skiing, I had narrowed my search down to a TNF Free Thinker Jacket. I then came across Marmot and the Spire Jacket. I am not disappointed.Pros: Gore-Tex, light, extremely well made, helmet compatible hood, price.Cons: not as many pockets as the TNF (but I ski with a rucksack - so no worries).In summary - I saved myself a small fortune in going with Marmot and have a quality jacket - now all I need is for the postman to deliver my Marmot Gore-Tex trousers and job done.
