I purchased this clock to replace one i bought in Germany in the seventies,my wife and i always admired it,unfortunately the mechanical parts were worn out,this clock is the same size as our traditional(medium size)one,the cuckoo sound is very life like,sounds like a real bird,with forest background,also keeps good time,this is an excellent clock,at a good price,the quality is first class.would recommend.

My mother wanted a replacement for an old cuckoo clock , and I wanted to get a trouble free one that did not need winding or pulling the weights, but still looked genuine. This fits the bill perfectly-she loves it and particularly enjoys the sound of the cuckoo which sounds like a recording of a genuine cuckoo ,alongside sounds of the forest.Some very similar looking clocks are on sale in shops at over £50, so this is also excellent value.
