I bought these boots for work as a postman. I walk over 1 million steps a month on average, (over 33,000 a day), and needed a better pair of boots than are supplied by my employer. I had a pair of Ecco boots before these, that were very comfortable, but the sole wore quite quickly. Most of my delivery route would be on Tarmac/ concrete which is tough on boot soles. I looked at the new Eccos, but was put off by the 195 price tag. I looked long and hard at boot reviews, and decided that these might be what I was looking for. How right I was. I've had them for 2 weeks now, put them on the first morning I got them and went about my delivery. No breaking in period, no blisters or sore feet. The heel part felt quite hard at first, but as I said, no soreness. These are very light boots and I feel that I could walk all day in them. Today input on a pair of dedicated hiking socks with them and they are even more comfortable than before. I would highly recommend these boots to anyone that is standing/ walking for long periods every day. Also my feet don't sweat in these. I will be getting a second pair soon as I have had experiences of products that I like being discontinued.Oh, and they have not let in water yet, even walking through wet grass and a few puddles. The grip is very good too, a lot of the pavements I walk on are covered with a slippery green moss ( damp Ireland ) and I have not slipped once. I will get review the longevity of the soles after a few months of wear.Bottom line, I love these boots.

These boots do NOT have toe protection! The write up says 'non-metallic hardware', I believe this is misleading. If you want a protected toe then these are not the boots for you! On saying that, Amazon took them back for a full refund without question.I bought the version of this boot that has a composite toe cap from another supplier and they were very comfortable from the start. I wear them for 12 hours at a time as an engineer and the composite toe means I don't have to take them off for airport security. I've been working in Norway this winter and have been standing around on snow and ice in temperatures down to -20 Deg C wearing normal socks and my feet never felt cold. Top marks.*I did want to go for the version that has the zip at the side for quick donning/removing, but was advised by a workwear store that although they had them in stock, the zips commonly malfunction after a few months. This was from a shop that would have profited from selling them to me, so I believe it's genuine advice.

They are a good boot but I wished I had tried them on in a shop beforehand. I do a lot of walking and find these boots a bit too long up my ankle to fit comfortably.
