Exactly what i needed!!!
By A. Kalogiannis
ACER Aspire 3935: slim, light, fast... exactly what i wanted. I chose the specific model after many hours of though and surfing on the net. The only drawback is the lack of a CD/DVD RW but it can be easily fixed using an external drive. The battery lasts for over 4 hours!!!

A great laptop, very good for value, highly recommend it!
By Ahmed M. A. Al-khazzar
I bought this laptop for my university studies and it is great for that. For this price I can't find any better specification. CPU is a very good P series Intel processor. It is also looking very nice. Keyboard is easy to use. I installed Windows 7 64bit and it works very well. I am very happy with my purchase.Pros:1- High speed processor2- comfort keyboard3- fingerprint sensor (doesn't work properly on Windows 7)4- Screen is very bright and sharp, even better than my Sony Vaio laptop!5- multi tough touch pad which is easy to use.6- Good build qualityA few Cons:1- Do not expect sound quality from this laptop. The sound volume is high but very poor quality. for me it is OK since I don't need it for movies, etc.2- The screen is a bit glossy. Again it is OK if you don't want to use it outside.Update:Several problems:1- The glass covering the screen can absorb dust and it is getting worse when the dust is behind the glass covering the screen and you can't do anything to prevent.2- After a while the touch buttons for Wireless on/off, Bluetooth on /off and etc. started to behave abnormally turning on anf off automatically. Only get it if they make a discount of half price!

BARGAIN
By C. Wronka
For the 449 price this is just a bargain. Based on my Internet research there is no matching laptop at this price with comparable specs (cpu, memory, screen). It comes with Vista, which is obviously not great but for those lucky who got it before 31/01/10, there was a win7 upgrade (only 32 bit, so cannot access all RAM).I installed ubuntu 10.04 (now beta) on it and runs with no problems (I did not try the fingerprint reader). There is an issue with the multi-touch support, but I believe it will be fixed shortly. Ubuntu does not do wifi power management out of the box, so it is possible to add some surfing time, by enabling this.pros:- small- light- fast, low power CPU, 4 GB DDR3 RAM- 4-5 h of battery life- nice design (brushed metal lid, chiclet keyboard)cons (that's me being picky):- uses fan a bit too much- glossy screen + easily catches any dust/fingerprints- the keyboard is not as nice as similar spec VAIO (the price is different though)and Amazon next day service... WOW!ordered 6:55pm, arrived next day 9am.the only thing Amazon could do better is deliver it with fresh baguette, coffee and a morning newspaper.
