5Sturdy and versatile
By Pips
I did a lot of research before buying a pushchair and the Uppababy was Which's best buy and had many favourable reviews on sites such as mumsnet. Very few people had anything negative to say about it. My son is now four months and the points below have been my experiences so far:-Positives- Great for tall people. I am 5ft 7" and my husband is 6". We both find it very comfortable to push.- Adaptable to many different environments. I push it round the shops and my husband takes it miles each week through woods, fields and parks. We have both found it a joy to push and can be easily steered with one hand (very useful in the supermarket). The wheels remove easily so they can be washed, or put in a bag after a very muddy walk.- The wheels offer a great balance between being solid but not so hard that they make the ride bumpy for baby. As they are not air-filled there is no risk of puncture.- Easy to get up and down kerbs.- Baby is high up enough to be able to talk to easily and for him to be able to see me, particularly during the first few weeks when his eyesight was developing.- Options as to whether I wanted the carrycot and the seat to face towards or away from me.- Base folds and erects incredibly easily. Can leave the child seat on when folding. Carrycot very easy to remove and click on.- Pram comes with everything needed so do not have to spend excessive amounts on extras - you get maxicosi carseat adaptors, insect nets for both seat and carrycot, waterproof cover for both seat and carrycot. There is a UV sunshade built into the hood. Most other prams have additional costs.- Carrycot will fold almost flat. Wheels remove easily if needed. I can fit the base and the carrycot in my toyota yaris without having to extent the boot if I put the carrycot flat. I do remove one wheel which is very easy to do, but can fit it in without doing this with the parcel shelf just being up by about an inch.- Carrycot can be used overnight due to ventilation. This has been very useful when visiting family as my son has not had to adapt to sleeping in a travel cot which he was not used to. You can also buy a stand for the carrycot if you chose to use it instead of a moses basket, although I think this is quite expensive.- The carrycot is very sturdy and I have always felt that my son is well protected in it.- Lots of different colours to choose from.- Child seat is from 3 months. My son is 4 months and very tall for his age (nearing 91st centile). He will probably manage another month in the carrycot but can then go straight into the seat.- Shopping basket is about the biggest that you will find on a pushchair - fantastic!- Flap on back of hood for childseat to see if your child is asleep without having to look in the front of the pushchair.- My pushchair is blue and wipes clean very easily, even when I got mud all over the carrycot.- Break is easy to use, even in flipflops.Negatives- Back wheels are quite wide which give great stability but may not be so good for public transport.- Would be difficulties in using public transport if had to put the pushchair down when using the carrycot so not advisable for first three months unless can leave pushchair up. Would be easy to fold down and lift on when using seat.- Unsure about how comfortable it would be for people who are not very tall to push. Would recommend trying it out before buying.Overall I love my pushchair and think it is really good value compared to some others for what comes with it. I did see a negative review done in 2009 but there have been different versions since this date and I bought the 2012 one. If I were to go back in time I would buy exactly the same pushchair again. The prices on Amazon at the moment are higher (can buy for about £560) than in many shops and the colours limited so would advise shopping around. Huggle in London were willing to price match and were brilliant in showing me all the features.UPDATE 18/1/12: The Uppababy Vista handles beautifully in the snow. The big wheels make it easy to push, and it had good traction and did not skid around at all.

5Brilliant
By B B
We have used this stroller literally every day for the past two years and all I can say is, its absolutely wonderful. My daughter has her nap in it everyday it's so comfortable. After two years of constant use, we have not had a single problem with it. The basket underneath is really big, it's really easy to clean, and it comes with a great rain cover and mosquito net. If I had to make one complaint, I'd say that if it's raining really heavily and the hood isn't pulled down tight enough, water can sometimes drip a little under the flap on top. This hasn't actually happened while she was ever in it, it happened once or twice when we had to leave it outside and we got caught short with a suprise thunderstorm. It's not the lightest of pushchairs, but I was still able to get it out of the back of the car and open it up one-handed. Another possible down-side might be that you can't fold it down one-handed. I love that you can have it both forward and rear facing, but it does only fold down in one unit if it's forward facing. We bought another lightweight pushchair about a year ago but it was awful in comparison so we kept using this one. It does have quite a wide footprint. The back wheels are pretty far apart, but I love how easy it is to push on uneven pavement, even in really heavy snow. While it does have a few disadvantages, I suppose, none of them were ever an issue with us. I'm very tempted to keep it to use with our next child. Or we might get the same one again but in a different colour.

5Amazing Buggy
By Jonathan
We discovered this buggy at an independant shop. We were looking for a buggy suitable for tall parents and had considered the Mutsy or Stokke, but eventually found the Uppababy to be the best solution. With the maxi-cosi adaptors this is the best travel system on the market. Apparently it is the top selling buggy in the USA, but fairly new to the UK. It does everything you want a buggy to do and has add-ons for everything, including a cup holder, foot muff, rumble seat, ride-on board, food tray and snug seat. Don't buy the same thing as everyone else, set a new trend and buy the Uppababy Vista.
