This knife is excellent and so long as you understand the limitations then it gets 5stars. If you expect to use it for general purpose cleaving, cutting on stone surfaces and all the other things you shouldn't do, then walk away, its just not the knife for you. I can only describe it as having the ability to give paper cuts to whatever you are slicing. Fabulous detail but on softer items like ripe tomatoes get the micro serrated version instead. This is just a joy to use and will slice happily through things you would have to saw your way through with a really sharp metal blade and I don't need to sharpen it for years . HAHA ! Excellent !

I'm a professional, Michelin Starred Chef and am (as most chefs are!) pretty particular about my knives. I bought a ceramic knife last year whilst in Germany as I got it half price having purchased a more expensive product, but rarely use it due to the type and shape of the blade.I needed a new smaller slicing knife and when I came accross this knife online having googled the make as I'd seen them being made on TV, thought it seemed too cheap to be true to be honest!It arrived a week or so later and now I use it all the time, it's a great wee knife, very light, balanced and very sharp. I can slice oranges very thinly for drying, and can slice truffles thinner and more accurately than with a truffle mandolin.When I get time I intend finding out about any other knives this company do, I'd be very interested to try them out.

sharp sharp sharp, Wow, love this product. Only attempt to use these knives completely soba or you will be doing Dave Allan impressions before you can say ceramic. The 13cm slicing knife is perfect for any kind of veg or boneless meats. It must be treated with care and respect. I'm sure this will give many years of good service. Cannot be dishwashed so make sure you leave it hiding in the bowl for the wife to find. lol. Sorry to all wives. Only kidding.
