I spent a lot of time reading review sites and forums before choosing one of these. Previously I have always had proper built in hands-free cradles and kits made for the 'phones by their manufacturers, and I was more than a little nervous about whether any Bluetooth handsfree could ever be even half as good.I was forced into going bluetooth by changing to a 'phone for which there is no dedicated cradle-and -cables type handsfree available.I installed it myself, and found it very easy, but I have a lot of experience with that sort of thing. That said, if you can install / replace a car radio, you can install this, no question, especially if your car radio uses the standard DIN connection, otherwise you'll need to make / buy some adaptors.The only problem I had was that when I first installed it the hands-free didn't understand the way that my 'phone (HTC Touch HD) stored 'phone numbers, so that, although it synced the address books up, it was adamant that none of my contacts had valid 'phone numbers. In the event this mattered less than you'd think as I had found a Brodit cradle for the phone so I could start calls from the phone itself and they would be routed through the Handsfree automatically and seamlessly. (NOTE, Don't answer calls on the 'phone though, as they stay on the 'phone. You then have to dig into a fiddly 'phone menu to push them back onto the handsfree, may only be an HTC / Windows Mobile problem though?)Luckily Bury released a firmware upgrade for the kit a month or two later and it now works perfectly with the HTC. The firmware upgrade is the easiest I've ever done incidentally. You will need to get a bluetooth equipped computer to within bluetooth rsange of the car to do a firmware upgrade (I have a laptop with built in Bluetooth, USB bluetooth dongles cost about £10 max if you need one.)If you're wondering about the voice control feature, it's a bit hit-and-miss. It's very prone to not understanding you if there is a lot of background noise or if you have got a cold, or have just got out of bed the wrong side and are being a bit shouty. No matter though as the touchscreen remote works perfectly.We have tried it with a selection of Sony Phones and a Blackberry and it works perfectly with all of them. I meant to try a Nokia and a Samsung before writing the review but you know how it is...I know several people with the poshest of the Parrot systems (removable colour screen and small (wireless?) remote.) They are all terribly jealous of the Bury as it just works, and the Parrot just doesn't. One of them refuses to cnnect with the 'phone most of the time, and even when it does it drops the connection regularly and will then only reconnect if re-paired. Another one has a screen that stays lit up the whole time, and even if you take the screen off the kit still draws power, so he has to pull the fuse for the handsfree if he's going to leave the car for a while, (eg at the airport.) Dealer can't fix either of them (both dealer fitted.)In short, I liked it so much I bought a second one for the second car, and still don't regret it a year later.

Ive had this fitted for a few weeks now and found it a great and easy to use bit of kit.only 2 problems i have found,the 1st being that i needed to buy an extra lead to connect to my audi a6 mmi system,and the read out text facility works fine with my old nokia but doesnt work with my samsung i phone and my mate has the same problem,but apart from these issues it is worth having.

I confess I was less than impressed to find that my kit was manufactured in 2008 - and had clearly been an ex-demo kit (or had slipped down the back of a shelf!), however, updating the firmware wasn't too difficult and the kit works very well.Audio is good, voice recognition is generally good (but frustrating if it doesn't understand what you've said as it then starts listing all available commands - annoying when you just need to make a call!)The display is superb - clear and easy to read.Generally it connects automatically - I think I've had to intervene just once or twice.Disappointingly the text/email notifications don't work with my BlackBerry Torch, and nor does the music function - but it was bought as a car kit rather than for its additional functions, so I think it does an excellent job.
