5Why didn't I get one earlier??
By M. V. Jones
I usually take umbrage with stuff like this. It's expensive enough shelling out for good lenses and lights, let lone paying £300 for a bag. So for several years I've toted stuff around in old padded wheelie luggage or make-shift shoulder bags of one sort or another. Always a hassle. So I finally stumped up and 'invested' and it's a revelation. I can find everything instantly, get at just what I need and the tripod attachment is a real boon. Arriving at a client without having first battled with just getting the gear from A to B is such a positive experience (especially as the amount of gear expands to fill the bag allowed); you're just better prepared/ready. Thoughtfully made, a veritable treasure-trove of pockets/compartments, very strong, travels smoothly. I went with the x300 rather than possibly run out of space with the X200.If you have to travel light in a city or can't always drive to a gig, then this is a no-brainer.

3Could be better.......
By A. Hayes
Right, the price, £353 for a glorified suitcase but we all need them don't we?Good points, holds most of my gear, 2 bodies 9-10 lenses, bits and pieces. Doesn't shout I have £20,000 of gear in here, nice to know you have all your kit in the car.Bad points. The 'innards' being removable and turning into a back pack-well it isn't going to happen is it, 2 bodies, 10 lenses weigh a ton, you're going to transfer kit to a smaller bag. Over engineered. Loads of foam dividers to put your gear in but with the amount of gear you have, you put all your gear in and are left with a pile of foam dividers that you don't need.I think the lock is a bit of a gimmick, it stops people nosing inside but I wouldn't trust my gear to a cable not much thicker than thick string. Not enough room between lid and compartment, the lid has internal pockets but if you put much in them you're hitting the top of a pro body.I was lucky, I paid a lot less in a sale but an RRP of £445 approx is outrageous. It does the job, I think I paid about £200. Anymore and I would look elsewhere.I bought it because of the sale but for my flash strobist gear, lighting stands etc. I bought a quality suitcase for £30 and some foam from eBay, cut it to shape and did a pretty good job for £60.You really need to ask yourself if you need this. It does keep my cameras and lenses in one place (just) which keeps the wife happy, but do you need every single lens you own on a shoot? If space is tight at home (like mine, it stores neatly in a corner, so that's great but then I transfer 2-3 lenses + 2 bodies to a slingshot 350 as the roller would just be heaved into my boot and would be overkill. To summarise, good for storage at home or in the studio, not so practical for traveling.I'm sure some people will disagree and think it's the best case ever in the world, maybe it is horses for courses. I think in hindsight I would have been better off with 2 identical smaller bags.I don't regret buying the product for £200 I love lthe lowepro brand but at £350 I think there are better alternatives, maybe solid wheeled camera case boxes that stack.......
