I was initially excited when I received delivery of my Bill Brown organic cotton roll-up bed. We have opened the package and reclined on the product to test for comfort, and I am very sad to say that it does not live up to the description - whilst we agree that it is stylish and compact, we would not agree that it is particularly comfortable. My wife found it like sleeping on a deflated air-bed, she could feel the hard floor beneath, which we attribute to the ribs between where the material is stitched offering no padding under compression.The end which I assume is the pillow is not well filled and offers no support.Aside from the general concept and materials, it doesn't seem thedesign has reached it's full potential - I think if I was testing this product I would want to go back to the manufacturer and asked them to re-think the ribs between where the material is stitched, and provide some additional padding.Having read all about Bill Brown and his ethical approach / thefactory in Kerala, I was really hoping my investment of £100 would bea good one, but I am dissapointed with the product - it's just not comfortable. We found a mattress topper from Ikea for £40 that was much more comfortable, and better value for money!!!I forwarded this feedback on to Bill Brown, but have had no response to date.

I have been sleeping on this product for the last three nights and am about to bed down for a fourth. I love this bed and have been sleeping very soundly. The 'ribbed' effect allows for the positioning of one's 'bony bits', and promotes a feeling of very gentle traction in the spine.If you like a big squashy bed to feel comfortable, then this is probably not for you. If like me you are more happy on a more firm surface, then you may prefer this to a 'proper' bed.Night night zzzzzzz

This item is a roll up mattress which is easy to store and fantastic for camping or the occasional night when visitors outnumber beds! I have never slept so well in a tent!!
