I bought this receiver to hook it up to my Teufel speaker system. The sound is just amazing (which is partly caused by the high quality speaker set) and it offers an enormous amount of options.In contrast to other receivers which accept hdmi only as a feed-through this one takes the sound information and forwards the video signal to your tv. You can connect the sound of your tv via an optical cable or normal RCA cables. You have the option of active phase control (you tell the receiver the distance of the speakers to the couch you are sitting on and it automatically includes an optimised delay for each speaker so that you can experience the maximum entertainment), various mixing settings (e.g. 4 different Dolby Pro Logic 1/2 settings) and much more.The amount of features is a little bit overwhelming and you will have to spend some time with the manual.The only downside in my opinion is the remote. It is meant to be a multi-remote control in case you also have a Pioneer Blu-Ray/DVD player and a Pioneer TV. Obviously this won't work with any other makes (in my case Toshiba and LG). So you end up with a remote with lots of buttons that don't have any purpose.But this is only a tiny point and doesn't really influence my rating.On amazon this is the cheapest HDMI AV receiver you can find and it is a high quality one. So far I can definitly recommend buying one of these.

I upgraded from a Denon receiver and i was quite skeptical because of the low price but it did not disappoint it was more than i expected!This is a beautiful system with great sound enhancements such as the (Audio Sound Retriever) which really does upscale the sound! and you also have a 5.1 analogue multi input which is usually used for SACD (Super Audio CD) again a great feature for you audiophile's out there also this is quite a powerful system (110 watts per speaker) in which you would find in more higher price receivers, the system contains just enough inputs and outputs maybe not as many as you would find in higher price system but.. do you really need all them connections? probably for majority no!, so for anyone looking inexperienced or experienced in home audio entertainment i'm sure this wont bring any regrets.

Great price and a great sound easy to set up with lots of inputs and outputs you can connect what you what to this.I am still playing with it to see what you can do with it a great piece of kit for the price you cannot go wrong,I would recommend this if you are looking to bring surround sound to you HiFi/TV/Video.
