Trickier to use than I'd imagined, the focus relies on steady fingers as it's a concertina squeeze/pull situation, and a little wobble throws the sweet spot right off. Creative pictures with selective focus only really work if the bit that is in focus is really sharp, and I've found that hard to achieve. Wish I'd saved up and got the Composer instead.

I absolutely love this little lens. Playing around with it on my 7D, you can create some fantastic looking results. I mainly shoot video, hand held, and theres nothing in my bag that gives me more control over focus than this beaut. Great for dreamy like shots, but not recommended for action shots or filming fast moving subjects.

This lens is very easy to use and is great fun too. Compared with the Composer Pro, the Lensbaby Muse offers greater ability to distort the subject in the photo in a creative way. I have both the Composer Pro and the Muse. You may only need one or the other. The Muse is best used in conjunction with the Lensbaby macro filters, which are also available from Amazon. I've become a Lensbaby convert because I've always like artistic images. If you like to produce photos that are different from the usual, this may be the lens for you. The double glass optic does deliver a pin sharp sweet spot, if required. The more you squeeze and move the lens around, the greater the distortion of the subject. Highly recommended.
