With its unique intelligent-circuit concept, the A1is capable of reproducing an amazingly wide frequency range which stretches way above human perception.
Underneath the large front-panel-mounted aluminium volume control of the A1 fromBeyerdynamic is a high grade ALPS-potentiometer for smooth volume adjustment. This is just part of the attention to detail that ranges from the outer unit construction to its quality integral components - use of a generously-dimensioned toroidal core transformer, plus a combination of carefully selected components in the A1 allows even the highest-impedance headphones to be driven flawlessly over the entire frequency range. The provision of a special impedance headphone output ensures that the control range of the volume potentiometer is also ideal for headphones with lower impedance.
The first of the two provided line-ins is hardwired to the A1 line out. The result allows the incoming signal to be looped through even with the A1 in standby mode. So you only have to power up the A1 if you want to increase the enjoyment of your music using your headphones. Two blue LEDs in the front panel monitor the active signal input, with a further multicolour LED giving information about the A1's operating status.

My first headphone amp because I decided to skip any cheaper alternatives that I might have wanted to replace later. I had a set of Beyer MMX 300 headphones/headset and needed an amp to give my headphones their own volume. The higher volume was also something I was looking for as my soundcard wasn't quite giving me enough!After a while I made my mind up and ordered this amp and I've since also purchased some T1 headphones to go with them :DIf you've read reviews then you'll know this already but here is a summary:They sound awesomeThey are fairly neutral so no huge amounts of bassThey are loud when used with this ampThis amp is specifically designed to go with the T1 headphones so it leaves the sound pretty neutral. It doesn't get too hot despite the fact mine is permanently on which is nice and there's plenty of volume as I don't normally make it past 55-60% volume heheIf you have the cash and you want it then go for it

Someone else has claimed and signed my package initially, and thanks Amazon, they send me another one. It is really a very expensive item. And luckily, a week later, the Mysterious returned my package back to my flat...The performance of this amplifier is perfect too.
