This is the first time I have purchased a guitar on line- and I am SO glad that I did. The guitar arrived next day in perfect condition and in tune. I gigged it that night and it felt like an old friend. The set- up, action neck and tone were all great from the off and everyone that has seen it and heard it have commented on how cool it looks and how great it sounds- and I would add: how nice it is to play... Build quality and finish are really EXCELLENT. Through my Marshall TSL50 it has a warm, rich hollow body tone with the neck pick up and a great bright clean tone at the bridge. When pushed a little more it gives a great smooth overdriven tone, sweet and singing at the neck and with a ringing bite using the bridge pickup perfect for "You Really Got Me". Surprisingly (to me anyway) I have found that the mixed position is really useful and really does sound different as you change emphasis between the two pickups together -perhaps even more so than on my (also very nice) Les Paul!I am amazed at the quality, flexibility and playability of this guitar and would recommend it to anyone interested in playing blues, rock and maybe jazz. All in all, I am very happy with this guitar- which is a real bargain in my book, and I know that it would outplay many more expensive 335-a likes. I literally have no complaints, -this Washburn really rocks!

This guitar is really nice, plays blues and rock extremely well. Can handle some jazz and some very light metal. Doesnt give awful reverb like some hollow bodies can, a brilliant guitar all round for a very reasonable price.Unfortunately it is let down by amazon. I was waiting 5 months from placing the order to it being delivered, obviously it says 1-2 months expected delivery but for my extra 3 month wait I wasnt awarded anything, no 'sorry we keep screwing up' gift or even free delivery. Completely shoddy service on amazons part.

Buy a guitar without trying it first? Hmmm. I wanted a guitar to take me further, so I had a good read of the comments and decided to buy online. I was more than pleased. Delivery was prompt, it was well wrapped and came tuned! I also bought a Roland Micro cube amp and together they make great sounds! Am I pleased? Absolutely! Problems? None so far.
