I have used Makita angle drills since 1998. This is the worst design yet. I do not recommend it. You can easily seriously harm your fingers when changing the bit because they get stuck in the recess between head and body. This did not happen with previous designs because the recesss was no way near as huge. The complicated design relationship between switch and forward reverse button means you have to actually remove the tool from drill position or screw head in order to successfully change direction, thus all job momentum is lost. This did not happen on any of the previous designs. Complained to Makita and just got an arrogant reply. Bad tool. Potentially dangerous design.

This product has great torque and will easily drive a screw into wood without the need to use a countersink bit. I have also used it for drilling into brickwork in hard to reach places as part of a roof construction project. It has proved to be an invaluable addition to my toolbox.
