A mind blowingly great piece of kit for serious users!
By Stu
When I ordered this I had very little idea of what to expect in terms of craftsmanship, capacity or suitability for my express purposes / intended contents. Product descriptions rarely answer the questions I really want answered and photos just aren't the same as being able to hold the thing in your hands & get a feel for it. Long & short of it; for a bag, this was an incredibly expensive gamble to my mind but I took it and the pay-off exceeds all my expectations by light-years!I could literally write volumes about this bag but without boring the socks off everyone, I'll stick to answering the questions & misgivings I had when I ordered it.Q) For over £100 this had better be something seriously special!A) IT IS! I've never seen craftsmanship this good anywhere! It goes WAY beyond military spec! If this bag ever falls apart then it'll serve you right for lighting the cigarette in a nitro-glycerine plant anyway. Just be thankful if you... or anything... survived!Q) I wonder if the belt strap tucks away in a hidden compartment like the smaller Snugpak ResponsePak I recently bought?A) Yes it does, though unlike the ResponsePak, the compartment doesn't close with velcro while the strap is tucked inside it. No big deal; the strap won't slip out & the pocket isn't liable to snag on anything.Q) The measurements in the description are just a bit smaller than my netbook computer. Should fit but with how much of a squeeze? What about my peripheral hardware though; and will it be well protected?A) My netbook is 10.1"x7" and yes, it fits into the main compartment like it was made to measure. Might have been nicer if it fitted into one of the internal dividers but that's not a complaint! I'd guess it'd fit anything up to an 11"x8" machine just as comfortably, or possibly up to 9"x7" in one of the two internal dividers. The main compartment isn't padded as such but it is fully lined with a dense nylon weave. Easily enough protection in my book, though dropping ANY bag with your machine inside isn't a great idea, even while riding a bouncy castle!Q) Are the various internal pockets particularly well suited to any of the everyday things I intend to carry?A) Yes; and very well so! I've loaded the bag with everything I could think to put in it and there's at least one well thought out pocket for every item. Mixed purpose loadouts are easily separated into equipment types to avoid confusion, so there's no looking for your toothbrush next to your laptop or your passport in with the drinking water. Nice & tidy and easy to remember.Loads more to say but that's enough for now! Amazing bag, would happily have paid double if I'd known it'd be so good! Can't recommend highly enough!

Maxpedition have a reputation for making the toughest kit around the sabercat versipack is plenty big enough to take a ration pack cooker and anything else you might need to stay out over night large well thought out pouches and external straps for other kit like a tarp or coat is also molle compatable so you can add extra pouches.
