This is an ideal compromise for outdoor swimmers who want extra protection from cold but don't want to spend a fortune on competition-level high-tech full-coverage swim-wetsuits. I've had mine for around three years and it's served me very well. Is just about worn out now (starting to lose its stretch) so I will probably replace it for next summer -- and I'll be buying the updated produced from Aquaskin. No reason to change. it's been that good.Things I really appreciate about it:-thinner than beach-bought surfing wetsuits, which are too thick to swim in and restrict movement-much more comfy than full arm and long-leg wetsuits; less chafing and rubbing-much more exposure to the water, so you don't feel cur off from the elements-much warmer than a standard swimsuit, or even with a rash vest-decent UV protection for shouldersFor me, the Aquaskin means I can go swimming right into the autumn in the Atlantic; last year all the way through October. I was even able to go swimming in the sunny conditions in March this year!There are some things you'll need to bear in mind:-I'm a size 10 at M&S, and the Small has always been snug on me. I could probably have gone for a Medium... but the size chart here suggests from my weight that I need a Large, and I think that's probably over the top.-the suit does need to be tight to give you the most benefit, so don't worry if you have to wiggle like crazy to get in the first time-AquaSphere used to do an armless version, which I prefer cos it gives your arms more movement and freedom, and even less chafing / constriction. But you do have to be careful that nothing untoward pops out when being very active!Overall, ideal kit for anyone who swims outdoors regularly.8/10
