Excelled expectations
By Mr. R. Cannon
After, maybe foolishly, buying a PC without a separate Graphics Card, I read reviews about usb / VGA adapters and was about 50 / 50 on my expectations ref. speed etc.But I have been really surprised at the efficiency, the picture (on an old 17" Monitor) is the same as through a normal VGA connection and the reaction time is very good.I had a few problems with the driver when up-grading to Windows 7, but the Driver Manufacturer, displaylink, have now got this up and running.Tip: If you up-grade from Vista to Windows 7, uninstall the driver before the up-grade as it's difficult to under Win 7. You then have a clear run at the new driver. If I had followed the instructions properly though, I wouldn't have had this problemI'm very pleased with the product.

A great solution for an extra monitor
By Dr. R. Price
I bought this device about 2 months ago. I already had two monitors running from my graphics card but wanted a 3rd to help with my work. Getting a new, or possibly 2 new, graphics cards worked out too expensive. I was worried about the quality of the picture on the monitor using this device when compared to the other 2 screens running from the graphics card but it looks exactly the same!Highly recommended - a really cheap solution (please note this manufacturer also makes a higher resolution DVI device if you need it).

Close but no cigar.
By A.J.Smyth
I have just had 2 of these devices delivered today and am using them now with 2 X 22" monitors, along with my main monitor. Before i decribe what the problem is with these devices, i would like to say that if anyone is thinking of buying one just to use extra office applications or view static documents, then go right ahead, they will work fine. Here is the problem though, i use a lot of web based Java apps and some of them work fine, but when i open others it crashes the whole setup. Screens flash on and off, my ram bottlenecks, and i have to guess where the apps are on the other screen to drag them over to the main screen, just to shut them down. If you are stock trading and depend on java-based quote systems or charts then dont buy this product. I have downloaded the latest drivers for win7 and still no cigar. Some java apps just crash the device, simple as that. The thing is, how many sites use java these days? I have only got these devices today and have not started browsing with the frequency i normally do, randomly etc. I have just visited a few sites...so how many more java apps will i come accross that will crash my system???
