this is an amazing machine, fast enough for everything you could want and so portable. I take mine on holiday with me and use free wifi spots to check my email, review and backup my photos

I bought this because it was recommended by Gadget Show. It lives fully up to expectations. It's really light-weight, boots up really quickly and looks great.The battery life is pretty good - around 5 hours of normal use, surfing the web and listening to music. The sound seems pretty good to me, although te built-in speakers are rather tinny.2 USBs has proved fine so far. It is a bit awkward connecting an external DVD,which needs both USBs at once, but this can easily be solved with an extension lead. There's not much room around the headphone and ethernet sockets either, but they work OK. I had to play around with the touch-pad to get it to work well for me, but it's fine now I've reduced the sensitivity and turned off the auto-scrolling

I bought this netbook as a second computer, as my HP laptop is pretty clunky and heavy. The Asus is perfect to travel with and now I have a mobile broadband dongle I can connect to the net, check emails, and work anywhere. The standard Windows XP software is much better than Vista and I couldn't be happier.
