PRO DESIGNER PF6600 provides you with 66 stitches which allows your imagination to run wild. Any project or sewing task will be a pleasure, the only problem you will have is deciding which decorative stitch to use. A choice of five buttonholes, all automatically measured, from standard to keyhole to stretch. The PF6600 has a 6 point feed dog and will easily tackle fine silks to soft furnishings, it has a drop feed and the presser foot height raises to 6mm allowing for thick fabrics and quilting to glide through effortlessly. For your convenience the PF6600 has a back-lit LED, Halogen sewing light and an easy to use needle threader.
SPEED LIMITER - Adjust the speed by using the sliding speed control with or without the foot control. A slow speed is ideal for beginners or when you need to take extra care with fine fabrics or intricate detail or increase the speed for normal sewing and long seams.
NEEDLE POSITION STOP - You choose whether the needle is up or down when the machine stops. Secure the ends of your seams by selecting the reverse reinforcement button.
TOP LOADING BOBBIN - easy jam proof drop in bobbin system. Clear bobbin cover making it easy to check if you have enough bobbin thread to finish your sewing.
NEEDLE THREADER - automatic built in needle threader. Quick and easy to use, you can throw away those magnifying glasses.
BOBBIN WINDING - winding your bobbin has never been easier. Simple to thread, automatically disengages the needle and stops when full.

I have only ever had very old sewing machines, and did the very minimum with them (i.e. turning up hems). I recently decided to learn how to sew my own clothes and wanted a machine that was relatively cheap and simple to use, but robust and reliable with plenty of features.Well! This machine is just brilliant! The instruction book is easy to follow - even for a comlete novice like me. I was able to wind a bobbin and thread the machine within minutes of unpacking it...It has a button for backwards stitching, a button that does a couple of stitches automatically, a button to choose stitch length and another for stitch width.There are 66 different stitches.It has a speed-slider with a cute picture of a tortoise at one end and a hare at the other, so you can choose the speed of the stitching.There is an automatic needle threading device.It has a buttonhole gadget.It has a detachable plate for big material.It has a light and a beeper to tell you when it's working and when it's not, plus another light to light up your work.It has a foot pedal and a hand wheel.It's light to carry, has a carry handle on the side, and comes complete with all kinds of interesting bits and pieces (such as spare bobbins, spare feet, needles etc. plus other gadgets the purposes of which I have not yet ascertained - but it's all explained in the booklet.)It also has a plastic dust sheet.And, best of all, it sews really beautifully! I've nearly finished a whole jacket now and it's been flawless so far. It's quiet, efficient, and does what it's supposed to do well. Thoroughly recommended.

I bought this machine several months ago (from another source) and I am over the moon with it! I used to have a very expensive well-known make that was always causing problems, this machine is brilliant and so easy to use. I was a bit cautious about buying it because the price seemed so low for what you get but I need not have worried. The features are all there, the quality is excellent - very well-made and robust. The accessories provided are all useful, I really like the extension table for when doing freehand embroidery but it is just as good as a straightforward sewing machine for dressmaking and alterations. The automatic buttonholes are great and the way the machine adjusts the stitches and sizes automatically. You can control the speed so it doesn't run away with you if you a bit of a novice and you have the choice of the foot pedal or a switch on the machine for stopping and starting - would be good for someone perhaps disabled or who cannot use a foot pedal for any reason. All in all excellent and recommended for newbies and experts alike!!

After a lot of looking around I bought this product because it seemed like it was excellent value for money and would do everything I needed it to.I was not disappointed!Although I have done a lot of hand craft work such as sewing and patchwork before, I haven't used a sewing machine since school. This machine is easy to use and the illustrated instruction booklet explains everything clearly and makes it easy to get started. The trouble shooting tips at the back of the booklet cover all the adjustments that might be needed if you experience any difficulty. - It has a wide variety of stitches, some functional and some beautifully decorative. - Stitch length and width can be altered at the touch of a button. - It has a handy light that makes it really easy to see what you're doing. - It comes with loads of accessories - spare needles, bobbins, zipper and silk feet and much more. - It can do Quilting and free arm stitching - easily does hems.If you're thinking of buying a machine that is easy to use but does professional quality work then go for this one.Also - the seller is great and has been very helpful with all my questions - highly recommended.
