It's too soon to say whether this shoe will live up to my expectations, but my experience so far has been good.I was looking for a black casual shoe (call me old-fashioned but I don't like brown casuals with black trousers). What I didn't want was something that looked like a cheap version of a classic style. What I also didn't want was a pair of those shoes that have air pockets in the sole. My experience of those has been disappointing. They are comfortable at first but, sooner or later, the air pocket gets punctured and then they go to pot.What I wanted was something that was clearly a casual shoe, comfortable and with a light sole that doesn't let you feel every piece of grit under your feet.I've had Ecco shoes before and know that their good reputation is justified. This pair is one of the cheapest in their range of casual shoes and I expect that it lacks some of the refinements of the more expensive ones. But, so far, it meets my needs very well.

VERY comfortable and can easily be used for business, light as a feather, - there is no cheap quality but these are not really expensive

Having given up with Clarks shoes that look worn out in 6 months I tried these. Only now over a year later with heavy use and very little care am I seeing the faintest of marks and wrinkles on the leather sides. If I actually treated them properly Im sure they would look like new.The insides have stood up very well. I dont feel or notice any difference which is impressive due to it being set up more for comfort than durability.Overall:The stitching is perfect, the leather hardwearing, the insides faultless and very comfortable.
