Superb mics for the price
By David Bartley
Considering the price these are excellent. I haven't got a bad word to say about them.Good sound, I've used them as an X-Y pair on drum overheads, acoustic guitar and on an amp with a pedal steel going through it, and they are fantastic.I've recorded with professional (ie much more expensive) small diaphragm mics like Hebdens, Neumann, et al and while those mics are undoubtedly better (you'd hope so at forty times the price!!!) you can rest assured that there is nothing 'missing' with these mics. They are accurate. They do not make stuff sound better in the way a Hebden does. You get what you pay for.My only negative comment and the reason I couldn't give 5 stars is that on the ones I bought, the XLR fitting was slightly over-engineered, and I had to slightly file off two of my XLR fittings to get the female XLR to fit in the mic. (To explain this further, if you look at a female XLR, there's a metal lug that sticks out and is supposed to find a groove in the male socket. I filed this down to about half its height, and even then it was a moderately tight fit. I tried several other leads and the mic was definitely at fault. I personally didn't mind doing this considering the bargain price of the mics.)

Minimal excellence
By Joppe
These little Condenser wonders are absolutely fantastic. I hook them up through a Xenyx 802 and the result is great. Highly recommended.
