I am very pleased with this locket. No more trying to find tiny pictures for my other smaller lockets. A quick snip of the corners of a passport pic and it fits. The chain is approx 18 inches long, it is quite thin but I had already planned to use one of my thicker longer silver chains so it hangs much lower. The locket itself is approx 3cms wide and just over 4cms long (thats 1.2 inches by 1.7 inches approx). The silver is lovely and shiny and the locket is strong. It is perfect for engraving but I like mine blank. It does get fingerprint marks on it easy but a quick wipe and it's shiny again. It comes in a nice box too :) Hope this helps.

after surging in loads of places, i found exactly what i wanted on amazon. really pleased with quality, nost were very thin but this was just right.

looks good i bought for a xmas gift large good product only down side the chain very poor thin for such a good locket so paid for better one shame as the price was expensive
