I have the 16gb version
By A. Maxwell
Wow guys, this SSD is SO fast compared to the original one. I highly recommend this as an upgrade.Doing a very rough comparison I downloaded a file from a website to both it and my class 6 SD card. The sd card was about comparable to the original SSD. The new one is 40% faster! Now know this isn't an exact scientific comparison but i feel it holds up. When doing other day to day tasks they are so much more speedy than with the original SSD.Use the youtube videos to figure out how to open your Aspire One then go for it, nothing to be scared of. One tip I found really useful is when you have undone the screws (case and motherboard) masking tape over them to hold them onto whatever it is they came out of. It's a hugely frustrating exercise to chase screws across the floor and have to figure out where they came from!

Essential upgrade for your AAO 8gb version
By K. C. Khoo
Super Talent 1.3 inch 32GB Mini PCIe MLC for Acer Aspire One Solid State DriveIf you have the Acer Aspire One 8gb ssd version, this is an essential upgrade. There is a 16gb version but for a bit more, the 32gb version is more usable. I have put in win 7 professional, ms office, and some other programs and still have half the space left. The 16gb version would otherwise be nearly full by now.Speed wise, it's no comparison. You can't even install win 7 without this.Even if you are happy with Linux, this gives a lot more working space. The drive is expensive for what is essentially a small size but being SSD, that's the price for these for now. SSDs will come down in price (as any tech items) but not anytime soon as it's very popular.

Excellent value upgrade...
By Andrew King
Upgrading the Acer Aspire One 110L with this SSD isn't the easiest operation, but it sure does make a big difference on usability. For anyone attempting this I would suggest using theregister guide to RAM upgrade [...] which has a nice step-by-step to taking the unit apart. I did the memory upgrade a long while back, but couldn't remember all the steps. I would also suggest printing out a copy of the image of the underneath and the top with keyboard removed, use double-sided sticky tape to mark where the screws are and then stick them in place on the print-out to keep track of the screws.
