This piano feels very sturdily made and the paint finish is superb. It is made by a French company that probably has somewhat higher ethical standards than the average Chinese company. Don't expect too much by way of quality sound as this is a child's toy, not an orchestral instrument. The keys cover 1 1/2 octaves, so it is possible to get a tune out of it but it cannot be tuned. From the sound, I assume that the hammers are hitting metal tubes or bars, certainly not strings but this helps make it more robust, so can cope with rough treatment without problem.

Bought this for a one year old bit so far the older children are playing. It looks just as lovely as the picture and is very solid. The keys feel a little flimsy and the sound is tinny but better than other toy pianos I tested. Excellent value.
