The Seca 813 Digital Bathroom Scale combines safety and comfort: the scale can be mounted comfortably and safely due to the extremely low platform (47 mm high) and the non-slip, but pleasantly soft dimpled mat. Older people or persons with walking disability have no problem mounting this floor scale. At the same time, as it is made of a smooth and shockproof material, the platform is extremely hard-wearing, durable and easy to clean.
A scale that stands firm: it only weighs 2.6 kg but can support 200 kg. Moreover, the seca 813 has an extra wide platform (435 mm) which is highly stable due to the integrated steel frame. Two good reasons why the floor scale is optimal for weighing heavyweight persons.
To ensure that the measuring result can be recorded quickly and correctly, the seca 813 is equipped with an easy to read, 29 mm high LCD display.
The step-off function is not only practical because the scale does not have to be switched on before weighing, it also ensures that the measuring result is especially accurate as the scale automatically adjusts to zero (null balance) at every weighing. As it weighs very little, the seca 813 is also suitable for mobile use. I needed precision scales and found these to be an excellent choice. The option of special feet for carpet was great but I found I weighed less rather than more on that surface. However, without the feet and on a stable hard surface, the scales have been consistent. And although I didn't like what they said, I feel more assured that I can track my weightloss without fear and with accuracy. The wider platform is great for stability and means that the weigh results don't go up and down trying to guage the right weight.A bit expensive - but I have had 2 cheaper scales now and both have been rubbish. My one criticism of the makers is that they should have backlit the display so that the figures are easily visible - but if you have a well lit bathroom, then there is no problem.

This is the second set of these scales that we have had.The first were purchased 5 years ago when my husband started dialysis at home and we needed acurate high capacity scales. We have only just had to replace them which is pretty good seeing that they are used every day. Would recommend!
