After going through two CPU fans that were supposed to be silent, I happened across this one. I don't think it was on Amazon before. This cooler is good for CPU's that don't run using more than 130W. It's more work to fit. The motherboard has to come out as you would need to remove the old fan holder and fit a securing plate for the new fan to the underneath.Once I was done, I found that it was taller than my low profile case (A SilverStone case) by a couple of mm. This case has a metal bar that goes diagonally across the case so that it can support a monitor. That bar can't go across now and be screwed into place because this CPU cooler is sooo wide!But I moved the bar over and away from the CPU cooler. And I was still able to screw the case down with a bit of force. The lid of the case pushes down on the cooler but that's OK because it pushes down onto some vents on the lid. Air flow is maintained. The case now slightly bulges, but more because the bar is not in the right place, but this is not noticeable to me now that the TV is on top of it.In use, silence is golden. There is no fan on this cooler so it really is silent! I only hear the fan within the power supply, and that is quiet enough. The temperature of the CPU runs to about 78 degrees in use and that's fine.
