4A small review for a small box
By Chika
I decided to build a small system for somewhere that needed something with a small footprint and intended to use a motherboard that I already had to go inside it. The fact that it didn't work out wasn't the fault of the box though there were a few things that I should advise that you are careful about when using such a box. First is that the box can't take full height cards of any type - I suggest that you stick to a motherboard that doesn't need much adding to it. Second was that the DVD drive I have to hand won't fit in for whatever reason. I'm not too bothered about that as I have a few external units that I can use as replacements and since I'll only really need one for system and application installation, it's no biggie. Another point was that if you are using an existing system board to build with, for goodness sakes remember to take the fan off! The board fits through the side of the box and frame stops you getting the board in if you have fans/boards on it. The interior can get a bit cluttered with cables and such so keep a few cable ties handy and don't expect great things from the system as the PSU isn't really up to supporting systems with large power drains. Talking of clutter, one tip is to remember to remove the PSU before attempting to fit any drives as you'll never do it otherwise! For the record, the board I was putting in was an old ECS K8M800-M2 which fit in perfectly though the power led connector had to be wrapped up out of the way as it had the wrong connector end on it. However the board appears to be shafted as although the system responds fine up to and including all BIOS responses, it won't read anything off the drive interfaces which seems related to the reason why I removed it in the first place. I'm looking at using the existing Sempron 3300+ processor with an Asrock MicroATX board currently on order so all is not lost. On the whole, the box looks good and works well for a system with a small footprint unless you want to go really small and start dabbling in ITX kit (yes, this can be used for ITX boards but I've seen much smaller boxes out there for that sort of thing).

5A great little case
By jacaranda
This is an excellent case. It's nicely finished and sturdy, the inside is well designed to get plenty into a small area without anything being fiddly. I'm planning to buy another. You can use it as a low-height desktop or stand it up as slim tower. One thing to note is that the CD/DVD slot is in front of the CPU heatsink. On most motherboards this restricts the maximum depth of the CD/DVD drive. All modern drives should be ok, but older "deep" drives (more than about 6.5 inches) will probably not fit.

5Excellent Media Centre Case
By Brian Archbold
Purchased this as i wanted a better look & finish than the cheaper desktop cases you usually get for around 25-40 quid this little fella is slim has a super quiet 250w micro psu and the black finish looks really great. The interior is very well laid out and is a joy to work in it just looks that little bit more expensive and less tacky than what is available.I hope amazon get more in stock.
