For just under £1000 this TV is a very good buy. The picture quality is as good as it gets for under £1500/£2000, totally stunning! The motion is very smooth and the colour definition is second to none (You should compare the black levels with any other TV on the high street). The default settings are a little on the bright side (I recommend turning the backlight down to around 5) but after a little tweaking the pictures look very natural. You'll be blown away with the lifelike digital pictures via your existing ariel, let alone an up scaled DVD or Bluray recording (amazing home cinema quality). The set up is very straightforward and I have enjoyed the sound, which is clear and defined. This model does not contain the wireless facility of the more expensive model but you can buy a Samsung wireless dongle which will do the job if you wish. It is so slim and is packed with useful and enjoyable features but at the same time is easy to use. There is no lack of HDMI connections on the back of the machine and it runs using only a fraction of the energy of a standard LCD TV but gives you picture quality in excess of most plasma screens! My Panasonic DVD recorder's remote was able to link with it automatically, which is a bonus. I highly recommend it!

We replaced our old 32" Phillips LCD with this Beautiful 40" Samsung LED TV and I am so pleased that we chose this make and model."Heaven knows how they have managed to put such great features into such a Thin Profile of a TV"This TV displays an exquisite crystal clear picture with Full High Definition quality and if; like me, you are a fan of wildlife and in particular 'Eden HD' you will certainly enjoy and be amazed by the clarity of the fine detail:"Seeing the ripples on the surface of a lake reflecting sunlight is quite a sight to see!"The sound quality from the built-in speakers is pretty good; although for the full 'audiophile' sound experience I would recommend connecting a decent external sound system.A few good things about this TV:- It is very light in weight- It comes with a detachable glass stand that enables the screen to rotate side to side- It has several built in Power Saving features that will save you money on electricity bills- Plenty of sockets: HDMI, SCART, Composite and USBand above all it looks fantastically sleek!

Great TV that could have earned 4 stars, but how could they be such muppets about the audio out option? The only audio out is SPDIF which can only be used for a home theater solution, and not for headphones.The blacks are indeed very black, but the LED backlight is on the edges, and in a completely black screen (usually film titles & credits, but also in games) they will be seen very clearly around the edges of the TV - rather annoying.
