This is a great little kit for someone with smaller hands to learn guitar, my son is 11 and it is just right. Good case and amp also. But be warned the little electronic tuner that comes in the pack simply does not work, had it checked by a professional, buy a decent one separately. Amazon service was outstanding as usual and they did send a second tuner out but that didnt work either so I got a decent one.

I got this for my little brother's eleventh birthday yesterday.The sound of the bass is actually adequate for a beginner. He is also rather small so the 7/8 size is ideal.Unfortunately when put into the amp...THERE IS LOTS OF FEEDBACK when you plug it in.I know for a fact that it isn't the lead or amp as I have tried the bass in my amp and with my lead and still doesn't work. Shame really, so we're sending it back.

Christmas gift for my son from his Granny. 12 years old and started a band with his mates. This is a decent instrument, and the accessories are, for the most part, very good.Positives - Bass looks good, seems to be well made, size is ideal for a young teenager. Amp is tiny but loud enough for a small room, has volume, bass, mid and treble adjustment with a headphone socket for peaceful practice when needed. Stand is self-assembly but very easy to slot together, case seems tough enough and is a nice plain colour.Negatives - Not holding tuning for long, hope this will settle down. Auto-tuner seems to only be for a standard guitar not a bass, despite saying Bass/Guitar on it, it only picks up top 'E' string. Will be contacting manufacturer about this! Lead could do with being longer, but OK for sitting still.
