First of all, I was happy to see when it arrived, that the Pedal bin I ordered was well packaged to protect the enamel/powder coated steel surface and from denting (Sadly, from experience, not always the case with some sellers or online catalogue company items, resulting in damaged products that have to be sent back and replaced - a frustrating and time consuming process that is avoidable if company's pay attention to important details such as adequate protective packaging.)...and it arrived on time.This good quality kitchen Pedal bin is really attractive and has a lovely vintage feeling, gorgeous grey clay (light dove grey) colour which looks great in a more vintage style kitchen and goes well with antiques or rustic looking items. It is very practical, of a neat slim form, and unlike some similar bins does not take up a wide space (difficult in a smaller kitchen like my present one), and yet is still a good size. I was able to put the bin straight into my kitchen and place a normal size black sack within it, just folding the extra inches of sack at the top over, twisting it tight and tucking it under at the back and just neatly pushing it up under the closed lid, so it is not visible with the lid closed at all. So it looks very tidy and stylish.This is perfect for me, as perhaps like many other people, after my kitchen bin is almost full, (recycling and compost bins separately aside) I take it out and fill the remaining space by emptying the smaller household bins around the home into it.I can imagine it being great in lots of other rooms too, such as an art/craft studio, garden shed, green house or larger bathroom etc.The pedal at the base is unpainted steel (with a nice 'rough' appearance) so no chipping or scratched paint from stepping on the pedal will occur and the lid-opening action works very well so far and feels sturdy enough.All in all, I am very glad I chose this one to purchase, when I was looking around for an attractive, long lasting bin to suit my kitchen, even though I admit it is more than I would normally pay for a bin, it is lovely and hope it lasts for a long time to come, so it will be worth the price... and I was also able to find an enameled/powder coated steel compost bin here on Amazon to match, really tidying the kitchen in a pretty and vintage style! :) I am happy to recommend this item.

Excellent kitchen bin that is very good quality and also very stylish. I have searched for many kitchens that would suit a period property and this one is absolutely perfect.
