5Great fun, but very fast skates! But be careful re: colour!
By a mother
-- First: a word of caution if the colour is important to you -I bought these for our daughter based on the photo, which is currently showing a photo that matches the description of pink/grey, as she is currently going through a very pink phase!Oddly, subsequent to placing an order, I noticed that occasionally the photo on Amazon was different - sometimes (?!) it showed orange/grey, though the description stayed the same.I was quite disappointed when the roller skates arrived, and they WERE orange/grey....The staff at Sport-Net-Gmbh didn't respond to my emails straight away, but were lovely when they eventually replied - though they haven't been able to explain why there were 2 different photos, and they only had the skates in orange/grey....I must say I'm surprised to see that the pink/grey photo is still showing on Amazon if Sport-Net-Gmbh don't stock them (but maybe they will do, in future?) Do contact the sellers before placing an order if you want a specific colour. My German isn't very fluent, but their English is very good!-- Next: about the skates!Very ingenious straps so my daughter is able to adjust them to fit whatever shoes/trainers she decides to wear with the skates! The skates are bigger/wider/longer than similar skates, so take a bit of getting used to, and currently she can only use them on grass, as they are VERY fast - but now that the weather is better, we have had lots of fun learning about balance etc! Yes, she is covered in bruises - but gets as many falling out of our tree, or off her bike, or colliding with other children in the playground at school...They seem very well made and should last longer than she'll be able to use them, as her feet should get too big before the skates wear out (at least, being orange, she might be able to pass them to my nephew afterwards!) (but - on the first outing, one of the brakes fell off - not a fault, just hadn't been tightened enough - a reminder that I should have checked all of the fixings before using!!)Roll on summer - in more ways than one!

4Daughter still giving them a go
By castleitems
Well i thought these might have been a nightmare for my 5 year old. She just couldn't get it after many minutes and watching my son on rollerblades seem to be easier. But eventually she started getting the hang of it. I would warn that whilst more sturdy than rollerblades, they seem to be harder to get going. Also for the younger ones, they may find it harder to keep the wheels apart so they aren't tripping on each other. Having said that, she does love them so a good start to the rollerblading world....
