A bit worried about ordering these, but absolutely no problems. They were given to my husband as a christmas present to go with a new karaoke machine. Went down a storm on Chritmas day. Very easy to set up and use. All the singers in our house feel very professional now.

Worth it for the weight alone....

I ummed and ahhed before getting this due to the price. Let's be honest, at the end of the day it's a stick.Unfortunately it doesn't shoot lasers or repel tiger attacks; but what it does do is provide a stable and solid platform, even when fully extended. Combined with the right head, it enables you to forget about everything except getting the shot.I'm 6'5 and when fully extended it gives me more than enough height to shoot standing up. When fully collapsed it is compact enough to attach to any good camera bag (most of which have a dedicated strap or storage facility), and is barely noticeable due in large part to its incredibly light weight.Anyone who has lugged a bag full of equipment around for 8 or more hours will understand that every weight reduction is a plus towards the end of the day, and this is a substantial reduction on my previous monopod.All in all you get get pretty much everything you could hope for from one of the more expensive Manfrotto products, and it draws admiring glances from those in the know as it is so very good looking.If you are looking at the cheaper models, but keep returning to this one; my advice is take the plunge, you'll be happy you did.***Update***Having had this for a while now, I thought I would provide an update as to its longer term performance.In short, this has become an essential piece of kit and I would simply not be without it now. Solid, reliable, hard wearing and extremely light. If you want a better staff/monopod than this you'll be having to give Gandalf a call.

Monopod

A few years ago I bought a Manfrotto monopod but with a change of camera I realised it was too flimsy. I had a look at more robust ones in high street stores and decided that this one was super cool with its carbon-fibre shafts. Being a 4-section, the last section is slender but also, being 4-section, it is not over long when collapsed. Quality wise, it's really good and made in Italy, unlike the cheaper one I had, that was made in China. OK so it's a but dear for a stick but I like having it.

Product Description

The Kenwood Prospero Compact KM265 is a domestic kitchen machine for family use. It is fully interlocked for safety and ideal for simple food preparation.

The KM265 has a powerful 650 W motor driving three outlets. There are two outlets situated at the top of the machine, one high and one medium speed, for running the liquidiser, food processor and citrus juicer attachments included with the machine.

The bowl outlet uses the famous Kenwood planetary mixing action, which makes sure that all the mixture is picked up from the bowl. Prospero comes complete with three K-Lene-coated bowl tools (K Beater, whisk and dough hook) and three plates for thick slicing/shredding, thin slicing/shredding and rasping.

There are also two separate attachments available for the Prospero: a centrifugal juicer attachment, for use on the high speed outlet, and a mincer attachment, which can be fixed to the bowl outlet when the head of the machine is lifted up.

The Kenwood Prospero Compact is finished in a plastic body with a brushed metal front grill and comes with 4.3 Litre brushed stainless steel bowl. The simple pop-up head lift and angled tool action allows for quick and easy tool change and bowl removal. The KM265 boasts variable speed control and the included splashguard makes adding ingredients to the bowl, while mixing, easy and mess free.

Ideal for small kitchens

When I moved house 2-3 years ago I "lost" quite a lot of worktop and storage space in the new kitchen and so when I was looking round for a food mixer the size of this one did catch my eye. While it's not that much smaller than kenwoods I've used in catering kitchens I've found mine to be just as robust. The small size meant I could keep it in a cupboard easily however I've found it to be good enough to become a fixture on the worktop.One reviewer marked this mixer down as they felt the bowl would dent easily, well I can say that my tiled floor hasn't done that and it has been bounced on a few occasions. The bowl is big enough to make dough for a couple of loaves and the dough hook does a good job although I do always give it a knead myself just at the end out of habit. K beater does a good job of sponges and batters while the whisk will get eggwhites peaking nicely.The chopper and blender both sit on securely and for ease of cleaning they are both superb. One issue with attatchments like those can be wear on spindles where they connect to the machine but after a couple of years mine is showing no signs of wear.If you feel that you need a mixer coloured nosebleed red or barbie pink then I have to say look elsewhere. If however you want a mixer that, in my opinion, carries the kenwood name well and does what you need it to then this is well worth looking at.

Excellent upgrade from the 1970/80's model

I had a very old Kenwood, I was unable to purchase a citrus extractor for my model, the Liquidiser attachment had long died, so decided to upgrade to the Prospero.I am very pleased indeed with this product, the splatter guard is a bonus, the attachments are easy to attach, very good instructions.Excellent product, a great aid to my small cake making work.Kenwood Prospero Compact KM265 Food Mixer, 4.3 Litre

Fantastic time saver

I have been baking and cooking for 40 years and this is the best thing I have bought to help me for years! I will definately been buying the mincer as an extra attachement to complete the package. These moccasins with soft sole are so retro they are really fab. All the ones in the shops at the moment have nasty plastic soles. I suggest you order a size bigger than you normally take because the lovely lambskin linings are really thick and so warm. Delivery was brilliant - 2 days!

I bought a pair of suede moccasins from Marks a few years ago. However when they wore out after giving exemplary service, for the life in me I couldn't find a similar pair anywhere in which to replace them with. Marks had stopped selling them, others came with either a rubber sole, a leather sole or even a plastic sole.(Not what I wanted) and for some silly reason the rubber soled pair wore out within weeks. Not impressed with that purchase ( I bought them from a reputable company that can be found at the end of the earth)I had a butchers on Amazon and found these. Well they arrived today. Well packed and exactly what I was after. Taking note of what other reviewers has to say I ordered a size bigger and found they fit like a glove. Impressed? I sure am. But what really puts the icing on the cake for me is how unlike the others which were all made in China these are made in England. (and these are cheaper)

Does exactly what it says on the box. Prints really well, good price, quality product. I would highly recommend. The add-in for MS word, Excel, Outlook is good but it is much easier to just use the printer like any other through the standard print function. The included software is effective and easy to use. Loading labels is much easier than the Dymo printers.

Quick, fast and relatively cheap. Comes with 2 "sample" rolls of sticky labels.Included software allows Outlook integration and import of contacts. Manual method is also efficient. No ink, its thermal printing. Very flexible, can be used to print labels as long as you want since it cuts automatically. Also different roll sizes allows different label sizesI use it to print address labels/file labels.Better than I had hoped for wehen I purchased it.

Over several years, I had owned and used several label printers, one that impressed the letters and of a type rarely now seen, and two thermal strip printers, the older of which had ceased to work and was thus replaced, and now this. I had also used a shared device that was a rather similar Avery product but the machines had been discontinued and supplies impossible to find.Of all, this is the most useful as the range of label types is wide. There are two types of paper label, removable and permanent but which are otherwise fairly similar, and a plastic, see-through label that may be more suitable for product labelling or for use on a coloured background.The paper labels are available in a few pale colours and some as fixed sizes of pre-cut label and others in a continuous form so that a 'banner' label is possible. The plastic film labels are more limited in range but all are colourless.Printing is available in any font and size combination available on your PC, up to 72 points, but the number of lines of text will have an influence, such that you may have 3 lines in 24 point on a certain label but adding a fourth may reduce the size to 16 or 18 point!. A label roll can comprise up to about 800 individual labels (it varies with size) and are not unduly expensive when quantity is taken into consideration. There is no need to discard a part-used sheet of labels because you cannot re-feed through a printer so there is no wastage.The whole is driven by a software package comprising a label designer and an address database, which is intended for those with regular mail-outs. The designer is the most often-used of the two and allows several different layouts on any one label with the usual text justification options, variable typeface and size, plus the usual embellishments of italic, bold etc. You can choose a surrounding box from many different shapes and designs or have it plain.The machine is easy to load as the labels come on a roll within a preloaded 'cassette' that slots into place. Great racket, frayed strings

I bought this racket after recommendations from a couple of my squash partners who also have Tecnifibre rackets. I've had many different makes in the past, Head Microgel probably being one of my favourites, but wanted to try something new. The main draw was that it would already be strung with Tecnifibre strings which obviously adds to the value.It was considerably lighter than my previous Prince racket despite them both being 130(??) so took a bit of getting used to, but it was definitely a good buy. It has a very good balance of power and control.However, I have had to get it restrung after only a few weeks as the strings started to fray, which is surprising as I've not had this from Tecnifibre strings before. I have decided to replace them with Ashaway SuperNick which I've been told are not as susceptible to fraying.In conclusion, great racket and would buy again, but not great strings.

Pricey but worth it.

Just recieved the Manfrotto monopod must say it's a classy bit of kit, although weight is never really a problem with monopods like tripod's it is effortless and sturdy despited the extra leg section the comppactness is a reall advantage. as I am not really that tall hight is not a problem, highly recommended.

I chose this tagine because it appeared sturdy, was fairly light in weight (compared to some other brands), had handles and looked good. It ticks all of this boxes, and although it really is stylish, I'm still a little wary regarding the flame/heat it will take. If you're used to cooking with traditional Moroccan tagines you'll need to adjust your cooking time with this one as it takes longer. Easy to clean.

I love this tagine. It's nice to look at and does the job. It has a good, solid feel and cleans up beautifully.

Shattered to bits

Lovely tagine and I've used it almost every day since I received it in December. But out of the blue while using it on a low flame it shattered into bits. Shame really considering that it was a bit expensive.

Powerful, cost effective computing

I managed to get this new for less than it is priced here. £78 from eBay. For me, it is all that I need for a long while. I use it for general computing and occasional gaming. You can pair up a motherboard and RAM very cheaply for this processor now.My graphics card is a 1GB MSI Geforce GTX 460 and my system build came to a smidge over £400. I am yet to find a game I play that the system struggles with. Assassin's Creed 2 runs at around 50fps.All in all I would say this is very good for the cost. Newer i5 equivalents probably require greater investment in terms of RAM and motherboard but may yield more performance. If you choose a processor in this realm, I would advise an SSD as a primary drive to really help your system. I find I am slightly bottlenecked in terms of data recovery.Pros: -Fast and powerful -Cheap to couple with componentsCons: -More efficient processors coming onto the market

A CPU with great performance

The item was delivered promptly and in good order inside its sealed original packaging.It was easy to install and the difference in performance between this Intel 08400 Core 2 Quad 2.66 Ghz CPU and my other Core 2 Quad 2.88 Ghz processor is barely noticeable.

Purchased as an upgrade to an old machine. CPU arrived and was packaged well, tried and tested on my new motherboard. Have not looked back since. A really good CPU ideal for my music production needs. Really happy with the purchase.

Lovely!

I bought this for my boyfriend for Christmas as he usually gets Paul Smith and it was a "recommended" scent because of the woody notes of it. He loves it and when he put it on on Christmas Day everyone was asking what he was wearing, which to me shows what a nice fragrance it is!
